The Mining Association of British Columbia is pleased to announce Richard Tremblay, Vice President and General Manager at Taseko’s Gibraltar Mine, as the 2018 Mining Person of the Year.
The 2018 award honours Richard Tremblay’s remarkable dedication and leadership within the industry, advancing research, management and community outreach. After 26 years in the BC mining sector, Richard has an in-depth knowledge of the industry, from managing large sites with over 1200 employees, to lending his voice on behalf of industry on mine permitting policies, stakeholder engagement and First Nations consultation
