We currently have an opening at our Gibraltar Mine for the following position:

As part of our continuous growth we are currently sourcing a Senior Coordinator within the Environmental department at our Gibraltar Mine to complement our world class team. Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, the Senior Coordinator will play a key role driving environmental excellence both within the department and onsite. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and ensure site compliance with all permit conditions and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Completion and submission as required of all site permits and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance site Environmental Management System to ensure best in class performance.
  • Support permitting efforts along with the timely completion and submission of reports.
  • Maintain positive relationship with local First Nations and Regulators.
  • Work with all departments to promote and imbed sound environmental work practices.
  • Provide technical expertise, support and mentorship to others within the Environmental department.
  • Manage projects as assigned.


  • A P.Eng in Environmental, Geological Engineering or a degree in Environmental Sciences along with a professional designation.
  • 8+ years of environmental work experience dealing with operations, environmental regulatory processes and environmental permitting.
  • Ability to delegate as well as organize, motivate and lead the department.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Track records of managing environmental assessment and design on large or complex infrastructure/engineering projects.
  • Proven project management ability including managing, monitoring and forecasting resource / budget requirements and procurement processes for complex projects; Knowledge of relevant Environment legislation and current best practice guidance.
  • Demonstrable skills managing individuals and working with multidisciplinary teams on a range of projects.
  • Strong numeracy, written and verbal communication skills and the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss environmental issues.
