Mining today is about developing our human resources- knowledge, skills and opportunity

Human Resources

The mining industry provides opportunities for people in a wide range of careers.  Our Job Board connects employers and job seekers, and is a great place to start researching the kinds of jobs and employers in BC that might interest you. There you can be inspired by an opportunity, or just get a better idea of the kinds of skills and credentials employers are looking for.

MABC works with educational institutions across BC that offer mining-related training and education.  MABC provides advice and information about the industry needs to the NWCC School of Exploration and Mining and the NBK School of Mining Engineering at UBC.  We also offer lectures to classes in mining-related fields from time to time.  To see if there is an opportunity to have a guest lecturer from MABC for your program, please contact [email protected]

You can also find out the availability of speakers here:

Check out these exciting schools, featured on our website, delivering programs ranging from introductory courses to degree programs.  Want to see your school listed on the MABC website?  Please contact us.

Trades training is the lifeblood of the Resource Training Organization – check out their website for more information on training in mining related trades:

The BC HR Task Force, Exploration, Mining, Stone, Sand, and Gravel can also help you explore for the right career path in the mining industry.

Mining Industry Human Resources Sector Council is tackling some of the major HR challenges facing the mining industry across Canada.  Attracting people to the industry, training programs,  credentialing,  and research for industry sustainability are part of their mission, and you can find out more about what they are doing. MABC is represented on the Board of Directors for the Mining Industry Human Resources Sector Council.
