Northwest Community College (NWCC) serves British Columbia’s Pacific Northwest, a region that encompasses 104,689 square kilometres and a population of approximately 83,000 people. The College region's geographic boundaries are defined by Haida Gwaii on the West, Houston on the East, Stewart on the North, and a less defined Southern boundary about 800 km due north of Vancouver. The College has six campuses and four community learning centres located in Hazelton, Houston, Kitimat, Massett, the Nass, Prince Rupert, Kaay Llnagaay, Queen Charlotte, Smithers and Terrace.
Students can choose from a variety of academic, career and trades programs at NWCC. The College’s Continuing Education and Industry Training department also provides applied learning opportunities ranging from industry training such as first aid and mining and exploration courses, to general interest and customized programming.
