Reporting to the Materials Superintendent, the Materials Clerk is responsible for performing clerical support to the Materials Management Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Assist with expediting, sales processing, and record keeping
  • Provide support to purchasing, inventory and warehouse teams
  • Support teams in the preparation for bid documents, tender packages and contract distribution
  • Maintain upgrades to filing systems, shared online directories and document storage
  • Prepare and distribute various reports on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Provide support to Microsoft Office Suite® users with internal software programs and applications
  • Administer materials guidelines and policies
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications:

  • Relevant diploma and/or experience in clerical work in an industrial setting is preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite®: particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with various levels of management staff
