NRCan Earth Sciences Library

The NRCan Library is located centrally in downtown Vancouver and is a free resource open to the public.  We offer a vast collection of research materials, periodicals, reports, maps, and access to a variety of geological databases. The NRCan Library houses over 100,000 books, more than 40,000 Canadian maps and  provides access to many international Geological maps as well.  We also have a large collection of  Geological Survey of Canada and BC Geological Survey maps and reports and we can help you navigate their websites to find  what you are looking for in their on-line collection of  maps, air photos, Assessment Reports or Minfile information.

We also subscribe to the National Post, Globe and Mail, Vancouver Sun and the Northern Miner  - so come in and catch up on what's happening in the industry. Bring your coffee!

Services offered include reference, circulation and interlibrary loans.  We’ll also help you navigate  through  our  many electronic resources and research materials to find what you are looking for.
